New Project update
The costs of the van are:
Cost of the van 15,000 Euros
Cost of the van 15,000 Euros
Insurance for first year approx. 2,000 Euros
Taxes on vehicle for first year Approx. 400 Euros
State fee for purchasing a used vehicle about 600 Euros
Amount needed 18,000 Euros, (as of today $21,180 - for the EURO-DOLLAR exchange rate).
That is our estimate, without documents we do not know exactly the cost of insurance and taxes.
As of right now we have two donors, who have poured $15,000 dollars into this project. We need $6,000 dollars.
9-seats van
In the last several years we have been working on numerous projects that involved foodbank, clothing giving, earthquake relief trips, mission trips, church/conference event trips. Pouring thousands of dollars towards this important acpect of ministry. Even when a team from the USA comes for ministry they have to rent a van.
As of right now we have quite few people and families in our church that do not have a vehicle, due to low income and the impossibility to purchase a vehicle. We are looking at families of five, as well as single people. Dr. John Cava, the director of World Outreach Center comes to Italy two or three times every year, and at the least one time he brings a team with him.
Each time there we needed to get something to bring it to church, we had to rent a van, or make multiple trips from point "a" to point "b". Sometimes if a ministry group comes, we need to bring several cars to the airport to distribute the luggage properly. In the long run a van is going to make our ministry to people easier, and it will save us some money and time.
Carrying things
No doubts, one of the reason a mission organizzation needs a van is for carrying things whenever is necessary. Wheater is foodbank, chairs, various material for various projects....
People
The other important thing is to carry people, who are hungry for God, to get more of Him. Every year we organize various events, and some people will be left behind. This is also true for our weekly church services. We want to help people to be able to come to church....
